Ready to outbid, outplay, and outsmart the table? Bridge is now on Solitaired, and it’s a great time to jump in.
If you love card games with strategy, teamwork, and big moments, Bridge brings all of it. Every hand is a mix of smart decisions and execution—first in the bidding, then in the play.
Bridge is played with four players split into two teams of two. Each player gets 13 cards, and every hand follows the same three-step flow: bid, play, and score.
1. Bidding (The Strategy Phase)
Before any cards are played, players take turns bidding. A bid represents how many tricks (rounds) your team thinks it can win above six, along with a trump suit (or no trump). Each new bid must be higher than the last. When everyone else passes, the highest bid becomes the contract—this sets your goal for the hand.
2. Playing Tricks (The Action Phase)
Once the contract is set, the cards are played. Each trick consists of one card from each player. You must follow the suit that was led if you can. The highest card of the suit wins—unless a trump card is played, which beats everything else.
If your team won the bid, your job is to meet or exceed the number of tricks you promised. One player (the declarer) plays both their hand and their partner’s exposed “dummy” hand, adding an extra layer of strategy.
3. Winning the Hand
Your team scores points if you successfully win enough tricks to match your bid. If not, the other team scores instead. The game continues with new hands as you try to outplay your opponents over time. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
Bridge isn’t just about the cards—it’s about reading the table, trusting your partner, and making the right call at the right time. Every hand feels different, and every win feels earned.
Whether you’re learning the basics or sharpening your skills, play Bridge on Solitaired and see how many tricks you can take.
