# How to Play Aces and Kings Solitaire

Aces and Kings Solitaire has two different foundations, one where you build up and one where you build down, as well as 2 reserve piles. It's played with 2 decks of cards.

## Objective

The goal is to move all 104 cards from the stock pile, reserve, and tableau into 8 foundation piles.

### The Setup and Play Area

**Foundation piles:** There are 8 foundation piles. 4 are the foundation for Aces, where cards are placed by suit in ascending order from Ace to King. The other 4 are the foundation for Kings, where you place cards in descending order by suit, starting with Kings and ending with Aces.

**Tableau piles:** This is the area with 4 face-up cards.

**Reserve piles:** These are the two columns at the left of the game with 12 cards in each.

**Stock pile:** The remaining cards, or a total of 76 cards, are face-down in the stock pile. They are dealt 3 at a time.

**Waste pile:** Cards drawn from the stock pile that cannot be placed in the tableau go to the waste pile.
